CATPC College Tour

Tomorrow 12 September is the start of CATPC's tour of schools and academies in the Netherlands, where they will talk about their experience as Dutch representatives at the Venice Biennale and their long-term practice of getting back their land, history and future through art.
CATPC's first stop is the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht, a multi-disciplinary post-academy dedicated to exploring the agency, roles, and civic significance of art, design and other creative practices in relation to the climate crisis, environmental breakdown, and their manifold effects CATPC members Mbuku Kimpala, Matthieu Kasiama and Ced'art Tamasala, artist Renzo Martens and curator Hicham Khalidi will come together to talk about the twinned exhibition at the Dutch pavilion in Venice, IT, and the White Cube in Lusanga, DRC. The event is tomorrow evening Thursday September 12, from 20.00-22.00. It is fully booked, but you are welcome to join in on Zoom. For more info, visit the Jan van Eyck website.

This program came about in collaboration with CATPC and Human Activities, as part of the White Cube program in the Netherlands. The program aims to decolonize not only the art world, but also the plantations that funded the art world. The program is supported by the Mondriaan Fund.
